Our kiddos are now in school, which means we have their school calendar in hand. These kids work so hard with long days, extra curricular activities, and homework, leaving such little time for the family. That is why family vacations are so important. Making memories to last a lifetime is my specialty, so lets make some great winter break memories for your family.
Big Sky Resort Montana
The second largest ski resort in the U.S., Big Sky Resort is known for its laid-back attitude and its short ski-lift lines. You will rarely wait for a chair on the mountain and, with so many slopeside lodges, you are always walking distance form a lift. Big Sky Resort is ideal for families, offering great ski lessons for the kiddos. Big Sky purchased its sister resort Moonlight Basin, making the stay at Big Sky a never-ending exploration. With its interconnecting lifts and trails, skiers and snowboarders can jump back and forth between ski areas.
Park City Utah
Park City was recently purchased by Vail Resorts along with Canyons ski area, making this the largest ski resort in the U.S. Being the largest also allows the resort to have everything for everyone. From outstanding learning zones, to perfectly manicured intermediate areas to steep ridges and gullies, moguls and wide-open bowls for the more experienced. The rustic downtown makes for a great location after you hit the slopes with cute shops and galleries and delicious fine dining.
Jackson Hole Wyoming
Ideal for advanced skiers, the grounds are recognized worldwide as some of the most challenging. With its tight chutes, cliff drops, deep snow and steep lines, this is an ideal location for adrenaline junkies. Although you get beautiful views at the top of the mountain, you feel like you are skiing through the clouds on your way down as clouds tend to get trapped at the base of the mountain. How fun! Don’t worry if you are traveling with beginners and intermediate skiers. There are areas on the slopes that are perfect for them as well.
