Aruba “One Happy Island”

When you are planning a trip to the Caribbean, make sure you consider Aruba! Aruba has one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the world! On a single island, people live in harmony and celebrate each other’s traditions and culture, making for a beautiful melting pot. Located just nine miles from South America, you can see Venezuela from Aruba. With three peeks, Aruba offers great views and amazing hiking. If you aren’t interested in heading up, then go down. Aruba is the wreck diving capital of the Caribbean where you can snorkel or scuba dive to see the coral formations and sea life that has made some WWII wrecks their home.

Aruba is famous for their trade winds. People come from all around the world to windsurf, kiteboard and sail. You can even see the effects of the trade winds on their trees, as their renowned divi-divi tree always points southeast.

Want some sun? Aruba has the most amount of sunny days of any island in the Caribbean, and the least amount of rainfall. It falls outside the hurricane belt, so you don’t have to worry about planning around the storms. With an average temperature of 82 degrees, you are bound to have a great day at the beach. However, if the sun gets too hot for you, head inside to one of the casinos, where gambling winnings are tax-free!!

After your big win at the casino, head downtown where Aruba has a large variety of international brand-name stores with prices generally lower than that in the states. While you are downtown, grab some great eats and hit up the night clubs!!

Just beware, Aruba has the highest return rate in the Caribbean, so plan on coming back again and again.
